nice vid bro.. i have an already decent throw myself (370-400ft.) but i feel as though im not encorporating my whole body like you do. I guess it all appears to be a matter of smoothness, timing, and practice of coarse lol

    Don’t give up. Have …
Don’t give up. Have you tried different discs? How old are you? Maybe you just don’t have the strength and body weight to get the disc very far. Look at the guy in the video. He’s pretty big and muscular, so of course he can throw far. If you aren’t very big, you just have to get as much momentum going as possible. Practice standing still first to make sure you’ve got your accuracy down. Then begin to make run-ups, and maybe a little bit of a spin.

I’m having such a difficult time shifting my weight to my front foot. I can consistently throw about 350′ with my weight evenly distributed, but I feel so awkward and don’t seem to get any power with my weight over my front plant foot. Are there any drills I could practice to learn to generate power off of my plant foot? Like balance drills or something?

If you are being consistent then yes, that’s pretty good. Accuracy over distant any day. It’s good to be able to throw really far, but if you’re getting 250-300 ft. and making it consistently, you’re doing nice. =]

I can’t wait to try out these tips tomorrow. On sunday I found a sun-faded Champion Eagle at my local course (unmarked) and the next day I found a brand new Champion Beast (also unmarked) on the same hole. I’ve only been playing 6 weeks so I really need the technique to handle those monsters :]
